About Eco Land Improvement Inc
Our History
Eco Land Improvement Inc. was born as an extension of Philip and Bonnie Veley Farms, for the ongoing development of farmland due to the rapid growth of the agricultural sector in the area and the demand for additional arable land for farming.
Due to the principals’ three decades history of farming operations, they realize the importance of good land stewardship to the future farming operations as well as general environment. As a result, Eco Land Improvement Inc. began by undertaking work to clear and prepare land for farming utilizing crawler tractor mulchers rather than the historical method of burning windrows. The goal is the creation arable land which is optimal for farming while preserving and ensuring optimal soil quality.
The principals have cleared approximately 900 acres of farmland in the Timiskaming District through Eco Land Improvement Inc. and Philip and Bonnie Veley Farms.
Eco Land Improvement Inc. offers services to monitor and manage landfill sites, especially leachate collection and distribution. The company’s principals, through Philip and Bonnie Veley Farms and previous employment have managed the Mansteel Landfill site for approximately 20 years. Through careful monitoring of leachate levels, soil conditions, weather conditions and weather patterns, the we effectively manage the leachate collection and distribution on an annual basis for the Mansteel Landfill site. The services provided include the operation and maintenance of pumping and irrigation equipment and general maintenance of the surface of the site.
We always have the environment in mind, ensuring our sites and surrounding lakes and rivers are free from unnatural contaminates, ultimately keeping land the way it was intended to be used.
